But the films directed by Clive Barker, such as Hellraiser and Nightbreed, take a different approach. It’s easier to assume that the figure at the centre of the posters and DVD covers for a horror film will be the villain it’s why Freddy is on the cover of all the Nightmare on Elm Street films, why all of the Friday the 13th sequels feature Jason’s iconic hockey mask.
